When the shared pool is used up, an in-progress grading batch finishes, the administrator is notified, and a top-up or renewal is needed before the next batch starts. Never an automatic charge.

How usage is counted

What counts as one generated material?: One finished lesson, worksheet, quiz, slide deck or parent note that generates successfully. AI images and video frames draw on a separate visual allowance because they cost materially more.
How is a lesson set counted?: Each companion you select and that generates successfully counts as one material. The confirmation screen shows the exact number before generation starts.
Do regenerations and AI edits count?: A regeneration you request after a successful result counts as a new material. Validation failures and system retries do not.
What about failed generations?: Failed generations never consume your allowance, and retrying a failed lesson-set component is not charged twice.
What is one grading?: One student submission graded.
When does my allowance reset?: On the 1st of each month. Allowances do not roll over.
What are top-ups?: Optional prepaid packs — 20 materials for $8 or 100 gradings for $10 — added to the current month. They expire at the end of the billing month. Fully refundable while unused; once used, they are not refundable.
