Chaklin is operated by Patounezambo Ouedraogo d/b/a Chaklin ("Chaklin", "we", "us"). These terms form the agreement between you and Patounezambo Ouedraogo d/b/a Chaklin for your use of the Chaklin web application at chaklin.com. If you accept these terms on behalf of a school, district, or other organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you are using Chaklin as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract.
By creating an account or continuing to use Chaklin, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
Chaklin is a software-as-a-service instructional engine for educators. It uses artificial intelligence to generate lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, slide decks, classroom visuals, video storyboards and parent communications, to grade student work against a rubric, and to optionally publish assignments and grades to Google Classroom. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Chaklin within the plan and seat count you have purchased.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. School and district seats are licensed per named teacher and may not be shared beyond the licensed seats. Tell us at support@chaklin.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:
Chaklin's outputs are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable for a particular class. You are responsible for the prompts and source material you submit, for holding the rights to any content you upload, for reviewing every output before you use it with students or parents, and for verifying factual, curricular and assessment accuracy. Chaklin does not provide professional, legal, medical, psychological or special-education advice and must not be used as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions about a student. Grades and feedback produced by Chaklin are a draft for your professional judgement; you decide the final mark.
You must not use Chaklin to generate or distribute:
We own the Chaklin service and all intellectual property in it, including the software, prompts, rubric engine, documentation and branding. You keep ownership of the material you input and, as between you and us, of the teaching materials generated from your inputs; you may use, adapt and distribute them for your own teaching and school use. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display your content solely to operate and support the service.
We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts where content breaches these terms. If you believe content generated or hosted on Chaklin infringes your rights, email support@chaklin.com with the details and we will investigate and remove infringing material; repeat or serious infringement leads to account termination.
We work hard to keep Chaklin available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features, models and limits may change as the service evolves. Planned maintenance, third-party outages (including AI providers and Google Classroom) and force majeure events may interrupt access.
Paid plans are billed at the prices shown at checkout, in advance, on a monthly or annual term that renews automatically until cancelled. Usage above your plan allowance is billed as overage or purchased as top-up packs at the rates shown on the pricing page. Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our reseller under the Paddle Buyer Terms. You may cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Our refund commitment is a 30-day money-back guarantee — see the Refund Policy.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment after the grace period, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where reasonable we will warn you first. You may close your account at any time. On termination your right to use the service ends; you can export your materials before you leave, and you may request deletion of your data by emailing support@chaklin.com.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chaklin is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You will indemnify us against claims arising from the content you submit or publish, your unlawful or unauthorised use of the service, or your breach of these terms — including claims by students, parents or your institution.
We may update these terms as the service evolves and will notify you of material changes by email or in the app. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. These terms are governed by the laws of the seller's place of establishment, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you have locally.
